Luxury Carat Cake

This is my first attempt to make cake decorating items using fondant. It was very very fun and enjoying.

I would say with these little decorating items on the cake did some magic and  made people drool over it. Those little baby carrots made a huge impact on the presentation.

This is Luxury Carat Cake crowned with creamy Philadelphia cream cheese icing, and goes very well with the golden carrot cake. Forget about light, its time to indulge yourself in the carat dream.

I think carrot cake is a best excuse you can give yourself to stay healthy (lots of carrot in it, obviously!) and yet able to tuck in the comfortability of comfort food. That's the best part in life, isn't it? This cake will be good and fresh in refrigerator for 3 to 4 days, as long as it is covered properly.

Maybe additional rabbits by the carrot will get more attraction?

In A Bed of Chocolate Cloud

Hmm...I am just bringing back those wonderful moments to this new blog. I baked this gorgeous pud last month and very very happy and satisfied with the result. It is specially good with lovely vanilla ice cream...thumbs up!!

This is Jamie Oliver's recipe...gorgeous!! The brownies are crunchy crispy at the outside and moist and gluey in the middle. When the brownies and vanilla ice cream are melting in your mouth, seriously you wouldn't speak to anyone at all!! Please serve these gorgeous beautiful brownies with good quality vanilla ice cream. The chemistry between the two is indescribable... :) However, the brownies taste good too with a cup of tea or coffee.

Jamie's recipe has 4 optionals options, I only added 1 optional ingredient into these gorgeous brownies which is chopped hazelnuts. The hazelnuts gave a different texture to the brownies and combined very well with the taste too. It is very easy to make, and is a great gift to friends and family. Please handle the brownies like a baby as it is very fragile. :)

Happy Baking!!
Hope you will enjoy it as much as I do... The best feeling you can get is the smile and pleasure on one's face when he is eating it!!

Lemony Day

I have baked this cheesecake 2 weeks ago...and fall in love with it.It is my the first attempt and successful!! I was really thrilled with the 'end result' and the 'end-users' responses. I have always make non-baking cheesecake and decided it is time to challenge myself with a different way to make cheesecake. On the other hand, as my significant other loves lemon cake and cheesecake, so I want to combine both of his favourites into one. He can considered as my 'experimental guinea pig'. :p

The taste of this cheesecake is refreshing. I wouldn't say it is a light cheesecake but it is not too heavy to have after dinner. I will definitely make this lovely mouth watering pudding again for friends and family.

I have got this recipe from here. However, I twisted the recipe slightly to my taste bud. First, I added more lemon zest and more lemon juice as it mentioned in the recipe to make it more citrus and lemony. I have also mixed lemon curd and sour cream together before I pour over the top of the cheesecake as the lemon curd addes extra kick and flavour to the sour cream. Lastly I swirled lemon curd on top and served with raspberries. The raspberries blends in very well with the pud and the pud just melt in your mouth. As I am writing this now, has made me licking my lips. hahaha...

Happy baking!! :)

I will definitely update any changes I make to the recipe when I bake this lovely pudding next time and share with everyone.
